How is Say different from basic dictation?
Say removes filler words, adds punctuation, and follows clear spoken corrections. You can add names and specialist terms to your dictionary, or choose another language for the output.
Which apps can I use it in?
On Mac, Say works in supported text fields. On iPhone, it works in apps that allow third-party keyboards. Password fields and apps that block custom keyboards are excluded. iPhone setup needs microphone permission and keyboard Full Access for online processing.
How does the free allowance work?
Your Vecbase account includes 2,000 words per month, with counting adapted to the language. Vecbase Club includes unlimited Say voice input without drawing from your prepaid balance. Check your account for your allowance and reset date.
Does Say record all the time?
You start each recording yourself. Say processes speech online. Saving input history is optional; when enabled, it is kept for up to 30 days and can be deleted in the app.
Can I download Say now?
Say for Mac is available now for macOS 13 and later. The iPhone App Store release is being prepared.
