Approve in your browser, then ask your agent to use a Vecbase model.

Manual setup

Install the Vecbase CLI, then run this command to configure your client.

vecbase agent setup --client codex

Start a new session or reload MCP, then ask your agent to sign in. Only clients without shell access need you to run this manually:

vecbase --profile codex auth login --agent codex

Install the CLI

CLI and MCP use the same installation. Install on the computer running your agent, not a different device with your browser.

Currently available for macOS Apple Silicon. Linux, Windows and Intel Mac releases are not yet available.

Update the CLI

Your agent checks for updates in a new task and installs available releases. Credentials and profiles stay in place. Reload MCP or start a new session after updating. An unavailable update service does not prevent using the installed version.
