Your agent. More possibilities.

Bring Vecbase’s curated models to the agent you already use. Keep working in the same conversation.

Which agent is yours?

Available on Mac with Apple silicon.

Let Codex make the connection.

Send it the message below. Your agent handles installation and setup; you approve access in your browser.

Read https://vecbase.com/connect.md and install and connect Vecbase in Codex for me. Open the browser when you need my approval.

Already have the Vecbase plugin? Use its bundled instructions; no duplicate skill is needed.

Connected? Start with this.

Ask for Vecbase, then add your material and what you need. Your agent can call a model through its new tools and bring the result back to your conversation.

Another set of eyes on your code

Use a Vecbase model to review this code, find potential issues, and suggest improvements.

Turn reading into a plan

Use a Vecbase model to organize this material into key points and next steps.

Find the right words

Tools and instructions, ready together

The plugin includes instructions for model discovery, calls, sign-in and CLI updates. No MCP server is needed.

More models in the same conversation

Ask your agent to use the Vecbase models available to your account. Connecting adds tools; it keeps your agent’s own model in place.

Access and spending stay with you

Set a spending limit when you approve access. Model calls are billed to your Vecbase account based on actual usage.

Manual setup

Install the CLI first. Run this command only when you do not have the Vecbase plugin.

vecbase setup --client codex

Ask your agent to sign in, then approve in your browser. You can also run:

vecbase --profile codex auth login --agent codex
Install the CLI

Install once on the computer running your agent. Available for macOS Apple Silicon; Linux, Windows and Intel Mac releases are not yet available.

curl --fail --location --proto =https --tlsv1.2 https://vecbase.com/cli/install.sh -o vecbase-install.sh
sh vecbase-install.sh
"$HOME/.local/bin/vecbase" --version
Stay up to date

Your agent checks for CLI updates. Upgrading preserves credentials; the next call uses the new version. Update plugin instructions through your host’s plugin manager.
